About the Agency: The Mississippi Department of Transportation is responsible for providing a safe intermodal transportation network that is planned, designed, constructed, and maintained in an effective, cost-efficient, and environmentally sensitive manner. About the Position: This position is located in the Contract Administration Division, Contract Compliance Section. The section is responsible for auditing and evaluating contract documents, monthly estimates, and contractor payrolls.Primary responsibilities include participating in pre-letting and pre-construction meetings; evaluating and publishing letting information; generating and uploading vendor purchase reports, wage decisions, executed proposals, and project-specific forms; assisting with the letting process; auditing and analyzing pay estimate submittals; communicating with Project Engineers regarding estimate requirements and processes; evaluating contractor payroll submissions; maintaining the Material Purchase Certificate database and vendor information; coordinating updates with the Financial Management Division; and performing other duties within the Contract Administration Division as assigned.
