Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: A Unit Coordinator will be responsible for development, organization, paperwork, and service delivery of one or more assigned projects and/or core program services. These include, but are not limited to, housing, social and recreational planning, advocacy, and administration.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Creates clear, timely, and accurate clubhouse documentation and record-keeping in compliance with Agency policies and procedures, Program, Department, DMH, and OSHA regulations on daily or as needed basis.
  • Actively engage members in the day-to-day operation of the clubhouse.
  • Participates and assists in all aspects of the clubhouse program. This includes working side-by-side with members in the operation of the pre-vocational work units, transitional employee's placement responsibilities, and advocate responsibilities for members, program development, and participation in program meetings.
  • Participates and assures responsibility for the transitional employment program in conjunction with Vocational Coordinator. Function as work site manager as assigned.
  • Responsible for provision of services in one or more units (transportation, clerical, food and/or business.
  • Fosters positive relationships with both primary customers (those who use our service) and supporting customers (members of the community, regulatory agencies, etc.).
  • Attends scheduled meetings.
  • Responsible for organizing transportation services. Provide client transportation in company van.
  • Works side-by-side with members, engaging them in all aspects of clubhouse operations as it relates to individual job description.
  • Empowers staff and members to reach goals as identified in action plans and documents accordingly.
  • Promotes active unit group process, involvement, and community integration.
  • Performs all job-related duties and individual performance goals as assigned by supervisors.
  • Attends scheduled supervision with Director.
  • Maintains clubhouse housekeeping on an ongoing basis to ensure the condition of the clubhouse meets environment of care standards. Demonstrates all employment actions are carried out in a safe manner.
  • Notifies supervisor of any pertinent information to ensure quality client care.
  • Serves as a backup for outer unit coordinators as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or equivalency required; Bachelor's degree in Human Services preferred.
  • Three years supervised directly-related human service advocacy work working with an adult population or 2 years human service experience working in a clubhouse environment may be substituted for educational requirement.
  • One year experience in the behavioral health or forensic field preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must be able to perform CPR and crisis intervention techniques using agency-trained protocols.
  • Must possess a current, valid driver's license in state of residence, have a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience within the United States, and have an acceptable driving record
