Summer Program Mentor
Position Description
The BSU Success Program focuses on improving retention and closing equity gaps through tailored support, including the Student Navigator Program, academic advising, and mentoring. It offers holistic, equity-oriented services to help students, particularly first-year and underrepresented students, overcome barriers to graduation and thrive academically and personally.
Program Mentors will partner with the BSU Success Program Lead, the Office of Student Success and Equity Intervention (SSEI), Navigators, faculty, and the faculty coordinator to support program initiatives and enhance student engagement.
In this role, you will be expected to:
  • Supports student success by assisting with Summer 2026 SSEI events, including their implementation and assessment
  • Assist in the development of programming
  • Support marketing efforts
  • Engage with incoming students.
  • Attend workshops
  • Build connections with students
  • Foster a supportive classroom environment
  • Additional assigned tasks

Eligibility requirements:Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits.
