This position is for a Program Cost Controls Analyst Team member (P2), working within the Raytheon Operations and Supply Chain (OSC) Finance organization. This role is supporting the Product Line and will be working very closely with the Business Office and the Program Operations Manager supporting the exciting and challenging Tomahawk program.  

As a member of the OSQ Finance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Operations labor financials. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation of all Finance deliverables including: external earned value management, quarterly Estimates at Compete (EACs), Latest Revised Estimates (LREs), weekly / monthly reporting and analysis.  This role will also include collaboration with Operations, Value Streams, MPMs and Program leaders for EAC inputs, monthly variance reporting to the Operations Leadership Team, and weekly inquiries into cost and labor runs.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a strong fundamental understanding of the factory environment, while also working closely with the Program Finance office to ensure financial targets are achieved.  The ability to be self-sufficient as well as operating in a team environment, supporting both the Functional organizations as well as ensuring program financial commitments are met will be fundamental to success in this role.  Business management covers a wide set of requirements, and a successful candidate will need to show flexibility in job abilities and strong communication skills.

What You Will Do

  • Support in the monthly close process working Earned Value

  • In depth analysis of LRE/ETC on a monthly cadence

  • Support in the process of providing cost, schedule and funding planning, reporting, monitoring, and analysis support to OSQ leaders, leadership teams, and management using standard company tools and processes.

  • Monitor actual costs and explain variances to plans and forecasts.

  • Manage cost accumulation methods for material/labor on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

  • Support the preparation of cost estimates for new business proposals and assist Estimating and Program Analysts in developing rationale for basis of estimates.

  • Support Factory and Program activities in the business management role including being a key participant in all organizational decisions.

  • Support the creation of Estimates at Complete (EACs) on a quarterly basis including costs, risks and opportunities for Factories and at the Program / Product Line level.

  • Assist in the development and streamlining of OSQ labor reports, EAC management and special projects to drive internal efficiencies.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.

  • Experience in Program Controls, including knowledge of Earned Value Management fundamentals

  • Working experience in a finance role

  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Operating Systems and all Microsoft Office tools, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel

  • Strong analysis skills and comfortable working with and analyzing large data sets.

  • Clear, succinct, and polished written and verbal communication skills

  • Convey business acumen to stakeholders without financial backgrounds or expertise

  • Comfort taking on dynamic environments and taking on new challenges.

  • Experience in using SAP Business Systems (APEX, PRISM, Business Warehouse)

  • Defense Contracting Finance work experience

  • Ability to quickly learn advanced financial and planning skills required by multitask requirements and to create support plans and schedules for small to large projects in a cross-functional environment

  • Problem solving abilities that bridge production realities to financial commitments

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
