Your Role

The Business Development Manager is a quota-bearing individual contributor responsible for selling PSC Biotech’s professional services across validation, quality, engineering, and related disciplines, building new client relationships, and expanding business within assigned accounts/territory. This role is accountable for full-cycle sales execution on opportunities of moderate complexity through disciplined pipeline creation, pursuit execution, and closing, while building effective client relationships and maintaining client satisfaction and retention.
  • Execute defined business development strategies aligned with overall organizational growth objectives.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the life sciences market.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and existing customers, fostering strong, long‑term relationships.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging growth opportunities.
  • Drive client engagement through consultative selling and tailored solution delivery.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue/performance targets; adjust using data-driven insights.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address concerns to ensure continued partnership success.
  • Prepare forecasts and support financial planning related to BD activities; provide regular pipeline reporting to senior leadership.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand market presence and visibility.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure seamless service delivery and a positive client experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within professional services, consulting, or technical solutions across the life sciences industries.
  • Proven experience owning and closing full sales cycles independently. Proven success in effectively targeting opportunities for growth, prospect, and nurturing potential leads.
  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding individual revenue or bookings targets.
  • Well versed knowledge of regulated environments, regulatory requirements, and compliance expectations in the life sciences.
  • Strong CRM discipline with experience managing pipelines, forecasts, and sales activities.
  • Proactive, go-getter attitude, and passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Goal and results oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable, motivated, and willing to learn.
  • Travel is required.

The salary bracket for this role is set between $80,000 - $110,000 annually. This position is eligible for commission and/or incentive pay as part of the total compensation package. The salary offered may be adjusted based on various factors such as the applicant's qualifications, skills, and professional experience.
