Job description

Join A Winning Team

Associate Attorney – Real Estate Litigation (1–3 Years’ Experience) Real Estate Litigation Firm

We are a highly regarded law firm representing property owners, management companies, and individuals in disputes involving leasing, unlawful detainers, wrongful eviction, bankruptcy matters, foreclosures, specific performance, breach of contract, and BP §17200 matters. Our cases are interesting, our clients are sophisticated, and our courtroom results speak for themselves.

We are seeking a sharp, motivated associate with 1–3 years of litigation experience (real estate-specific experience is a plus but not required; strong judicial clerkship or federal/big-law litigation training is equally welcome).

You will:

  • Argue substantive motions (demurrers, motions to strike, discovery disputes, summary judgment, etc.)
  • Manage written discovery and e-discovery
  • Take and defend depositions
  • First chair motions and evidentiary hearings early and often
  • Second-chair trials initially
  • Work directly with partners and clients (no layers of bureaucracy)

We offer:

  • Competitive salary ($160,000–$180,000 DOE)
  • No minimum billables
  • Year-end bonus for successful outcomes
  • Paid vacations
  • Paid holidays
  • Health insurance
  • Payment of bar dues, CLE expenses, and parking
  • Hybrid schedule available (available after training period)

This is not a document-review or “training program” associate position — you will be in court, handling law and motion calendars, conducting trials, defending depositions, and handling your own cases within your first month with direct guidance from experienced litigators. If you want real responsibility, excellent mentorship, and genuine work-life balance at a firm that actually values your time outside the office, this is it.

California Bar membership required (or sitting for July 2026 exam).

To apply, please submit your resume, writing sample (motion or brief you were primary author on), and a short note explaining why real estate litigation excites you to:

No recruiters or third-party applications, please. All inquiries will be kept strictly confidential.
