Job Summary

Up to $20,000 Sign-on Bonus Based on Eligibility

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care given to inpatients and outpatients to patients of all age populations at Piedmont Medical Center requiring respiratory therapy services.

Responsibilities
  • Performs all aspects of respiratory care to include diagnostic test of the cardio-pulmonary system
  • performs quality control on all respiratory care equipment to include I-STAT blood gas analyzers
  • Provides respiratory care to patients.
  • Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Education:
    • Graduate of Accredited and Approved Respiratory Care Technician or Therapist program
    • Associate degree required.
  • Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:
    • Current Respiratory Therapy Licensure through South Carolina Medical Examiner’s office.
    • CRTT required (Verified by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
    • American Heart Association BLS CPR required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
    • American Heart Association PALS and ACLS certifications required within orientation period.
    • NRP certification required for NICU trained therapists

Preferred:

  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of job-related experience preferred.
  • Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: RRT preferred (Verified by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
