Position Description

The Meals and Medications Program Assistant is primarily responsible for distributing medications to the youth at Northwest Passage and preparing resident and staff meals in accordance to regulations and menu guidelines.

Hours are Monday-Friday 1:30pm - 9:30pm.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Distribute medications to youth in a residential setting
  • Complete required documentation in the electronic health record
  • Prepare resident and staff meals according to regulations and menu guidelines
  • Deliver meals throughout campus buildings
  • Maintain effective communication and relationships with other members of the team, including medical personnel, food service personnel, direct care staff, and supervisors

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • The ability to work independently and with a team
