Program Assistant On Duty

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time- 40hrs/weekly

Schedule: Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays as needed

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center, your work helps support individuals on their journey to recovery. As a Program Assistant On Duty, you will help ensure the safety, structure, and smooth operation of the program during assigned shifts while supporting beneficiaries and maintaining program standards.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment within the facility
  • Monitor beneficiary activity, movement, and adherence to program rules and schedules
  • Conduct facility rounds, bed checks, and building walkthroughs
  • Respond to incidents and complete required reports and documentation
  • Assist with beneficiary orientation, guidance, and general support
  • Lead house meetings and communicate program expectations and updates
  • Support intake processes, including assessments when needed
  • Oversee medication call procedures and ensure proper documentation
  • Administer required testing (e.g., breathalyzer or urinalysis) as needed
  • Supervise beneficiaries assigned to work therapy tasks and provide guidance
  • Provide transportation for beneficiaries when assigned, following safety guidelines
  • Complete daily reports and accurately document program activities and incidents
  • Support recreational and program activities when scheduled
