Job description

Summary
About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD.
The incumbent will be working within a comfortable, professional office setting, allocated the stability and support needed to focus on daily objectives, collaborate with team, and successfully meet professional goals. Hours of work Monday-Friday 0730-1600 with a 30 minute lunch.

Duties
Help
  • Assists Program Managers in establishing automated documents for the Requests for Personnel Actions.
  • Provides assistance in coordinating the requirements for credentialing, drug testing, and security clearance requirements.
  • Provide forms to civilian supervisors for obtaining Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) access, update, maintain the group email and assist in updating the civilian supervisor spreadsheet.
  • Provides a Position Management Board (PMB) recruiting update of the status of current actions in process.
  • Obtains updates from the Resource Management Department of cost center code discrepancies and forwards Program Managers for correction.
  • Generates reports, spreadsheets, tables, graphs and charts as required for use by the leadership, supervisors, Position Management Board (PMB) and Program Managers.
  • Tracks the length of service awards for civilian, calculates the length of service, and submits the required documents for completing and obtaining the certificates/awards.
  • Schedules/coordinates invitations, prepares and disseminates agendas, provides necessary documents, and records meeting minutes and/or details.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • This position has mandatory seasonal Influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal Influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
  • This position requires the incumbent to have Tuberculosis testing.
  • This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • You may be authorized to Telework on a Situational basis at the commands discretion .

Qualifications
Who May Apply: US Citizens
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service which includes providing clerical and administrative support related to human resources/staffing; utilizing office automation software to enter or retrieve data; and maintaining electronic and paper files. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
