Position Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct, hands-on care to residents and supports the nursing team to ensure safe, compassionate, and person-centered care in our skilled nursing environment.
Responsibilities
Provide direct resident care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding as needed.
Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and equipment.
Measure and record vital signs, intake and output, and other observations as directed.
Accurately document care provided and promptly report changes in resident condition to the nurse.
Maintain a safe, clean, and home-like environment for residents, families, and visitors.
Support residents' dignity, preferences, and independence in accordance with care plans.
Work collaboratively with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to meet resident needs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Current, unencumbered CNA certification in the state of Tennessee.
Previous long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
Ability to lift, move, and transfer residents with or without assistance and equipment.
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, resident-focused approach.
