Purpose
Pine Crest School believes that students in the Enrichment Program need positive interaction, guidance, and support from adults. The After School Programs Assistant provides students with support in all areas and works collaboratively and in conjunction with the Programs Coordinator.
Essential Job Functions
  • Ensures the safety and well-being of the students with play and interactions
  • Assists in the organization and supervision of students in After-School Programs, including snack, arrival and dismissal procedures
  • Supervises playground and all activities as a point of contact
  • Interacts with the children; plays games and assists with homework as needed
  • Manages sign-in and sign-out procedures
  • Assists with afternoon carline (e.g. opens and closes car doors for students)
  • Reinforces proper school behavior and provides reports to the Director (e.g. accident or behavioral) should an issue arise
  • Confer with After-School Coordinator and/or Director of Auxiliary regarding the children, behavior issues, and progress
  • Promotes a positive environment and team-oriented approach to work.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Department Supervisor or their designee
  • Supports the School's mission statement and the philosophy of the department and adheres to School policies and procedures, including but not limited to what is outlined in the Employee Handbook
