Job description

Overview:

Supports and assists the Program Coordinator in the operations, supervision and management of the Day Treatment program. Provides a safe and effective learning environment for children in accordance with the philosophy and mission of Behaven Kids.

Essential Duties:

  • Assists Program Coordinator in supervising the implementation of the Behaven Kids model of care.

  • Assists Program Coordinator in supervising and monitoring direct care staff, service delivery, and program activities to ensure quality and consistency.

  • Assists Program Coordinator in identifying, monitoring, and implementing treatment goals and objectives.

  • Carries out duties of Program Coordinator in his/her absence.

  • Prepares, updates and maintains documentation and children’s records.

  • Provides orientation, training and development opportunities for staff.

  • Provides a safe, structured learning environment.

  • Interacts with children in a professional, positive manner.

  • Communicates effectively with parents, peers, and supervisor.

  • Ensure compliance with state licensing, health department, Behaven Kids policies and procedures, and fire and safety regulations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School degree (required).

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, psychology, human services or related field (preferred).

  • A combination of education and experience might be accepted as a substitute for bachelor’s degree.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work in active environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
