Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: This individual will plan menus, purchase food/ supplies, prepare meals/ snacks within the limitations of the program. Assist with ongoing strategic programmatic planning to help the organization accomplish its goals and objectives.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Planning daily menus based on the USDA guidelines
  2. Purchasing food and supplies
  3. Preparing meals and snacks
  4. Dishes and cleaning
  5. Oversee kitchen appliance maintenance
  6. Keep kitchen organized and clean
  7. Must supervise Kitchen Assistant
  8. Adhere to all CNCAP-related policies and procedures
  9. Promote the program and agency in a positive and professional manner

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High school diploma or GED required (Supervisory experience preferred.)
  2. Valid driver's license
  3. Experience in menu planning, food storage, preparation & services practices.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  3. Knowledge in meal planning, food storage and preparation

REPORTS TO: Area Manager/ Education Coordinator

JOB STATUS: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

PAY: $17.09 - $18.75 (depending on qualifications)
