The Assistant Director provides administrative support, direction, and oversight for Community Based Care child welfare services. The Assistant Director will provide support and oversight to the Case Management Supervisors. The Assistant Director will assure implementation of all applicable policies,
procedures, administrative codes, and statutes relative to services for dependent children and families.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Director will provide oversight and support in the day to day operations of Child Welfare Case Management programs. Other duties may be assigned.
Serves as backup to the Program Director and the Permanency Specialist.
Track and follow all new client trust fund accounts, expenditure/withdrawal requests, fee waiver applications, monthly allowances and gather all receipts and needed items.
Provide hands on case assistance to both supervisors and case managers.
Ensure that Family Finders is being completed on all cases
Develop and implement a tracking system to ensure all required court documentation is submitted timely according to all contractual and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement a tracking system for all case plan conferences and case plan submissions for timeliness.
Attend meetings designated by the Program Director.
Ensure supervision meetings are occurring with staff as required to include professional growth and development objectives.
Review training report with Quality Management Specialist monthly to ensure training requirements are being met for Camelot standards and child welfare certification.
Assist in permanency projections and management supervision discussions.
Assist to ensure compliance with performance and contract measures
Assist the Quality Management Specialist with identifying trends and developing plans to correct any issues identified.
Track and review Incident Reports submission and enter into the appropriate systems as needed.
Follow up on all missing children reports to ensure appropriate efforts are being made and documented.
Serve as back up for data entry and approvals in system databases.
Assist Supervisors and Case Managers in court preparation and presentation.
All relevant duties and/or projects as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Must possess knowledge of affective supervisory skills and employee management techniques.
Ability to supervise, direct and evaluate line staff.
This position will supervise multiple staff including other supervisory level staff

Master’s degree in Human Services or related discipline with three years’ experience; or BA degree with
five years related experience and two years supervisory experience.
