Full Time
Swing Shift: 3pm - 11pm, weekends required
Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Medical Assistant to join our Adult Residential Treatment Facility in Tacoma, WA.

All benefits contingent on working a scheduled 40hrs a week.
Scope: Provide medical administration services. Perform both clinical and administrative duties. Serves as a member of an organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.
Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team serving clients with behavioral health needs.
  • Within the scope of practice, administer and monitor psychotropic medications under the supervision as delegated by a licensed registered nurse.
  • Ensure follow-up on referrals and facilitate continuity of care.
  • Gather medical history information and vital signs as directed by a registered nurse or prescriber, support licensed nursing and medical staff with medication. management as needed including oral and injectable medications as prescribed.
  • Document all medication monitoring and self-medications in EHR program or hard copy Medication Administration Record (MAR) daily by end of shift.
  • Coordinate ordering and reporting of labs and lab results to prescribers.
  • Coordinate insurance services/ prior authorizations.
  • Coordinate community medical integrated healthcare services.
  • Provide psychoeducation groups related to healthcare and medication to consumers.
  • Maintain medical records and provide reports in accordance with policies and procedures.

  • Assist in monitoring and documenting medical supplies, floor stock, and pharmacy communication.
  • Adhere to program's infection control policy and protocols.
  • Assist in all aspects of the laboratory specimen, collection and throughput.
  • Adhere to the incident reporting process.
  • Provide activities designed to enhance community and milieu adjustment.

Qualifications
  • Completion of accredited medical assistant program and WA State certification
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.
  • If role requires driving, must have valid driver's license, proof of insurance and working vehicle.
