The Pleasant Hill School District is currently seeking applicants for the position of:
High School Assistant Football Coaches (2 positions)
Coaching Description:
Pleasant Hill High School is seeking candidates for the position of Middle School Assistant Football Coach for the 2026 season.
The successful candidate will:
  • Present and maintain a high level of professionalism as an educational leader and coach while demonstrating an exemplary level of integrity within the program
  • Articulate proficient in methods of instruction involving football skills
  • Show a passion for teaching and mentoring student athletes
  • Have middle or high school football coaching experience
  • Be proficient in methods of instruction involving football skills
  • Be an educator within the Pleasant Hill School District - preferred
  • Meet MSHSAA Assistant Coaching Requirements according to the guidelines presented in the MSHSAA handbook (sec. 3.1)
  • Be certified as a substitute teacher and must have completed 60 credit hours from an accredited institution
  • Be able to effectively communicate with students/athletes regarding their progress, performance and critical needs to improve
  • Be able to effectively communicate with parents
  • Demonstrate successful experience of working with a team of individuals
  • Will fulfill the duties as follows...

Duties:
  • Coaching high school football as assigned assisting with all players within the program
  • Assist with planning program events, practices and scouting (items include scoring games, assisting with documentation/communication, supervision and field maintenance, etc.)
  • Assist with preparation for middle school football games (home & away)
  • Assist with organizing off-season workouts, camps and activities as deemed necessary
  • Be able to effectively communicate with students/athletes regarding their progress, performance and critical needs to improve
  • Be able to effectively communicate with parents

Qualifications:
  • Missouri Substitute Certification or willing to obtain.
  • Missouri Teaching Certificate (Preferred)
  • Football Coaching Experience (Preferred)
  • Meet MSHSAA Assistant Coaching Requirements according to the guidelines presented in the MSHSAA handbook (sec 3.1)

Length of Contract: 2026 High School Football Season
