Description

The Student Office Assistant provides administrative and event support to the Honors Program Assistant and the Director of the Honors Program. Primary responsibilities include assisting with the planning and coordination of Honors Program events, attending and assisting at events, and completing general administrative tasks as assigned. Candidates must be enrolled in the Honors Program.

Primary Duties

  1. Assist the Honors Program Director and the Honors Program Assistant with general administrative tasks.
  2. Design posters for Honors Program events using Canva and distribute them across designated campus bulletin boards.
  3. Support the Honors Program Assistant with planning and coordinating Honors Program events.
  4. Attend and assist at Honors Program events, including taking photos if necessary.
  5. Create social media content and manage posts on LinkedIn for the Honors Program.
  6. As schedule permits, assist the Honors Program Director and Honors Program Assistant during Honors Program Admissions event days.
  7. Maintain consistent, reliable attendance and communicate scheduling needs proactively.

Secondary Duties

  1. Assemble first-year gift bags for incoming Honors Program students.
  2. Prepare Scholarship Day interviewer gifts.
  3. Assist with preparations for the Honors Program Medallion Ceremony.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned.
