What You will Do:

Essential Functions

  • Provide program management execution for assigned projects in accordance with GE Gas Power Program Managers Standard Work Procedure:
  • Create and maintain internal and external project schedules
  • Validate proper resource assignment and manage spending per the plan
  • Guide the execution team through the NPI Development Process, assuring the proper adherence to engineering policies and procedures
  • Coordinate activities between engineering sub-functions to ensure all project deliverables are delivered on time, complete, properly tested, and documented
  • Actively manage program risks and mitigations to avoid execution misses
  • Communicate program status and issues to the engineering and commercial stakeholders
  • Provide regular spending status and projections to the Business Operations and Quality team

What You Will Bring:

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering or program/project management of engineered systems.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interface with leadership with confidence and clarity

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job 
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen

 Desired Characteristics

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Knowledge of project tracking tools, processes, and practices
  • Engineering Program graduate or advanced engineering degree
  • Prior experience in electronic hardware or software development, preferably embedded control systems or the configuration thereof
  • Knowledgeable of engineering, manufacturing and customer service processes
  • Strong organizational/ project execution skills and prior success in working with or leading cross-functional teams
  • Customer satisfaction mind set
  • Demonstrated leadership, team building, and communication skills
  • Understanding of the NERC and IEC-62443 standards
