Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation: Starting wage $18.00 - $18.90, adjusted based on experience.
  • Benefits: Seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.

Job Summary:

Join our Ministar team, a specialty program designed for children ages 4โ€“6 who are just beginning their ski and snowboard journeys. The Ministar program provides a safe and supportive environment where young children can learn, play, and grow in our dedicated indoor space.ย As a part-time, seasonal support staff member, youโ€™ll work primarily indoors helping children transition between activities, assisting with meals and breaks, and providing comfort and care throughout the day. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to create a positive and memorable experience for our youngest guests.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:ย 

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:ย 

  • Work with the Ministar Supervisor and Team Leaders to organize classes based on student goals and abilities
  • Set up, assist with, and clean up lunch service in the Ministar indoor space
  • Assist children who are injured, sick, tired, or uncomfortable being outside
  • Provide exceptional guest service while prioritizing safety at all times
  • Collaborate with fellow staff and operate independently with individuals or small groups of children
  • Assist with general support duties across the program, including coordination with rentals and lift access when needed
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays (December break, MLK weekend, and Presidentโ€™s Week)
  • Willingness to work with children ages 4 and up
  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Experience working with children preferred but not required
  • Outdoor-related experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
