As Senior Benefits Analyst you will be responsible for providing analytical and project management support for various benefits initiatives at Solenis. You will performs a variety of benefits program activities, including but not limited to: benefits program analysis, project management of new programs, M&A activity, and assisting with benefits program design, implementation, communication, regulatory compliance, and education.
Responsibilities also include partnering with internal stakeholders (payroll, HRBPs, management, etc.) and third-party vendors to manage the completion of day-to-day benefits processing tasks. You will engage with employees and HR team members on benefits-related activities and inquiries. You will be recognized as a technical expert in benefits and be responsible for leading the execution of benefits strategies and programs in the Americas region.
Responsibilities
  • Supports the design of employee benefit programs by evaluating program structures, employee preferences, external benchmarking, costs, regulatory requirements, and competitive positioning. Ensures programs balance competitiveness with affordability.
  • Partners with the Total Rewards Director, Americas, and brokers/consultants to implement new plans. Leads setup, timelines, vendor coordination, and system testing; manages annual open enrollment and ensures seamless day-to-day administration.
  • Collects, analyzes, and summarizes benefits data and competitor trends. Determines best practices and market positioning through research on industry trends and legislative developments, assessing organizational impact.
  • Performs benefits administration tasks including, but not limited to: benefit calculations and payouts; reconciliation of benefits accounts; preparation of funding and wire transfers; maintenance of premium, claims, and cost data; processing employer HSA contributions; coordination of defined benefit plan accruals; and leave of absence support.
  • Prepares and maintains benefits reports, ensuring accuracy and appropriate distribution. Monitors vendor and carrier reporting, identifies discrepancies, and flags potential issues. Analyzes data across all benefits programs for the employee population.
  • Drives operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve, streamline, and optimize benefits-related processes and procedures. Focuses on efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Serves as a super user of benefits systems and tools, identifying best practices, evaluating system functionality, and recommending enhancements. Ensures data integrity across benefits processes and programs.
  • Partners with global HR teams, recruiters, and leadership to ensure benefits programs are administered accurately and aligned with organizational goals. Provides consultation on benefits strategy, policies, and programs.
  • Collaborates with carriers and vendors to resolve complex, non-routine benefits issues (e.g., appeals, vendor discrepancies, domestic relations orders).
  • Maintains deep knowledge of benefits policies, procedures, and industry practices. Supports new employee orientation by communicating benefits offerings and policies.
  • Proactively develops global benefits expertise to identify emerging trends and support future strategy execution. Monitors legislative changes and partners with legal counsel as needed.
  • Conducts audits and analyses of benefits programs using multiple data sources. Ensures compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements and supports annual audits.
  • Supports and/or leads special projects, conducts ad hoc analyses, and provides support for critical HR initiatives as needed.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related benefits experience.
  • CEBS certification preferred.
  • Experience analyzing benefit programs including 401(k), retirement, health & welfare, and wellness offerings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in benefits program administration and evaluation; recognized as a technical resource in benefits practices and programs.
  • Strong technical proficiency, including experience with MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, identify dependencies and risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with experience delivering insights and recommendations to various levels of leadership.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
