Starting Pay - $32.04 - $48.06 (Based on Experience)

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school in counseling or related field with a Masters or Doctorate degree
  • Licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy in Minnesota
  • Must complete continuing education and professional development beyond formal education as outlined by certifying body
  • Ability to manage time and stress effectively and adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting
  • Ability to teach and counsel individuals, families, and groups
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire

Expectations Include:
  • Professional and ethical code of conduct
  • Demonstrates sufficient knowledge and understanding of evidence-based psychotherapies
  • Delivers psychotherapy following appropriate evidence and treatment guidelines
  • Terminates therapy appropriately when indicated to optimize access with ongoing care
  • Willingness to be flexible in care delivery model to serve overall needs for OMC patients
  • Culturally sensitive advocate for diverse populations
  • Ability to work autonomously and in partnership with healthcare team
  • Commitment to community service area
  • Demonstrates proficiency in electronic medical record use
  • Shares knowledge that promotes quality mental healthcare and improves clinical outcomes
  • Acts as leader, mentor, educator, researcher, and/or administrator as indicated
  • Demonstrates timely and accurate completion of all documentation

Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
  • Interviews, assess/screens, and diagnoses mental health conditions
  • Delivers high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy
  • Obtains and documents accurate patient health history
  • Consults with and refers to other healthcare specialties and departments when indicated
  • Works in a team-approach with psychologists, psychiatrist, nursing, and support staff
  • Attends organizational committees and work groups as assigned by supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned
