Coder I - Turn Clinical Notes into Code That Matters
Are you someone who finds joy in precision, patterns, and purpose? As a Coder I, you'll be a vital part of transforming medical documentation into clean, compliant, and accurate coding - making a real impact behind the scenes of patient care.
In this role, you'll review professional services across multiple medical specialties and assign the correct ICD-10-CM, procedure, and E/M codes, all while staying on top of AMA and CMS guidelines. After a short onsite onboarding period, the position shifts to fully remote (with the occasional onsite visit for special training or projects).

  • Associate's degree or equivalent education/experience
  • Active coding certification: CPC-A, COC-A, RHIT, or RHIA
  • Solid knowledge of reimbursement programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers
  • Familiar with medical billing systems, NCCI edits, LCDs, and correct coding sequences
  • Comfortable with computer systems, EHRs, and billing platforms
  • Clear communicator with a sharp eye for detail

🌟 Bonus Skills We Love:
  • Experience in an academic teaching healthcare setting
  • Credentials like CCA, CPC, or CPC-H (physician-based coding)
Why You'll Love This Role:
  • Remote flexibility
  • Exposure to a variety of specialties - always learning, never boring
  • Supportive team environment with growth opportunities
  • Your accuracy and expertise directly contribute to better healthcare delivery

If you're passionate about getting the details right and want a role where your work truly matters, this could be the perfect fit. Let's code something meaningful together.
