Job description

Title: Virginia DCJS Certified Instructor – Armed & Unarmed Security
Company: Sentry Force Security
Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Job Type: Part-Time/Full-Time
Pay: $27.00/hour

Job Description:

Sentry Force Security is seeking a DCJS Certified Instructor to lead and facilitate training programs for both armed and unarmed security personnel across Hampton Roads. The ideal candidate must already hold the required instructor certifications and demonstrate a strong commitment to professional standards, safety, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver classroom and range instruction in accordance with DCJS standards
  • Conduct training sessions for 01E/I (Unarmed Security), 07R/E (Armed Security), Advanced Handgun, OC Spray, Baton, and Handcuffing
  • Prepare, schedule, and manage training courses as required
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure timely submission to DCJS
  • Ensure all trainees meet or exceed state and company standards
  • Assist with course development, evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Represent Sentry Force Security with professionalism and integrity

Requirements:

  • Must already possess the following valid DCJS Instructor Certifications:
  • 01E/I (Unarmed Security Instructor)
  • 07R/E (Armed Security Instructor)
  • Advanced Handgun
  • OC Spray Instructor
  • Baton Instructor
  • Handcuffing Instructor
  • In good standing with DCJS
  • Minimum of 2 years of instructional or field experience in the security industry
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends
  • Reliable transportation

Compensation:

  • $27.00/hour
