Joining our staff is an opportunity to change lives, empower others, and do what you love as we inspire confidence and build community in our inclusive, all-levels classes. We offer flexible working hours, professional development opportunities, leadership growth paths (including pathways to your own franchise ownership), and the exciting (and fun!) chance to be part of a growing, values-driven franchise organization.

Our classes are for all levels and follow a consistent DivaDance format. Our ideal candidate has a big personality, experience creating choreography and teaching adults, and is super responsive via phone/text. Flakes or last-minute excuse-makers need not apply! This is a great role for someone who wants to earn extra Venmo or manicure money while doing what they LOVE. HOURS, COMPENSATION, LOCATION:

We are looking for you to teach at least 1 (up to 2) classes per week - during the lunch hour, evenings or possibly on weekends. DivaDance brings our classes into existing facilities - we do not have our own physical location. We are seeking instructors who are able to teach at the ONE Dance Initiative dance studio in Fort Mill, SC at 821 Crossroads Plaza at 7:00PM on Tuesdays and/or every other Friday at 8:00PM (We can also alternate days scheduled). We might also request help teaching at our 3 other studio locations if the time and location of the studios are accessible for you. You should have reliable transportation to get there for classes, and expect to arrive 20 minutes early to prepare for clients arrival. We will accommodate vacation time and schedule adjustments as long as they are communicated up to 6 weeks in advance. Otherwise you are welcome to swap classes with DivaDance staff to cover classes if needed.

Compensation is tiered based on instruction experience and starts at $30 per class.

DivaDance Charlotte offers many performance opportunities in addition to our regularly scheduled classes. We seek instructors willing to choreograph routines for those performances and guide our performers through 5-7 rehearsals before the performance. Our performance choreographers are unable to perform with the performers and will serve as the coach.

DivaDance Charlotte Staff members are able to participate in our performance programs, video shoots and workshops that they are not scheduled to work. Staff members receive a 50% off discount on our Member pricing (already $15-$25 lower than the non-member amount) to reserve a spot in those programs. Additionally, staff members receive free classes to join any DivaDance class that they are not scheduled to work (a $119/month value).

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

You must have experience teaching and choreographing for adults. Bonus points for former dance team/drill team/cheerleaders. Our application process will require that you submit a video of your original choreography.

Applications without choreography links will not be considered.
