Scope of the position

We are hiring aProduction Supervisor to manage and control resources to ensure the production plan is achieved while achieving safety, quality, and efficiency metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the production team to deliver against the production plan.
  • Allocate resources in the optimum manner in line with priorities.
  • Manage production output through proper control of materials, monitoring of cycle times and IQMS output reports at appropriate intervals throughout the shift.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and quality procedures at all times.
  • Manage all non-conforming events (quality, safety etc.) in line with relevant procedures and policies.
  • Work closely with warehouse, quality, and engineering to ensure that all issues impacting production are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Plan for and co-ordinate mold change activity to achieve quickest possible start-ups, line clearance etc.
  • Troubleshoot on primary and secondary processes as required requesting technical support from the relevant area when necessary.
  • Oversee and verify 6S activities and maintain excellent standards of housekeeping throughout the shift.
  • Monitor IQMS figures throughout the shift taking corrective action where necessary and verify production report at the end of the shift.
  • Report all metrics at the end of the shift and daily production meeting.
  • Continually review production methods/operating procedures with a view to improving efficiency, quality, and visual management in line with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Plan training of new hires with Trainer to ensure shift is adequately resourced.
  • Effectively manage holidays, absences, and timekeeping by ensuring that all employee time (hours worked, PTO, & Personal Time) is recorded accurately and in real time.
  • Provide timely feedback to employees on performance and ensure all performance issues are addressed in a constructive and prompt manner.
  • Develop a supportive team environment in which employees are engaged in achieving targets and supported in their roles.
  • Complete disciplinary actions as needed and document incidents in real time.

Key Relationships

  • Production Manager: develop strong working relationship to ensure that production plans are achieved.
  • Quality Team: work closely with Quality personnel to ensure procedures are strictly adhered to and timely decisions are made in relation to product quality.
  • Engineering Team: liaise with engineering group on start-up and maintenance and validation runs.
  • Leads: work closely with Line Leads to ensure the smooth running of production.
  • EHS Team: reporting incidents and partnering in investigations for employee care.
  • HR Team: work closely to ensure that employees have a positive and supportive work environment.
