Job description

Production Operator

Pay: $20.50/hour
Location: Blythewood, SC
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts

Schedule Highlights
  • Work a rotating schedule: 3 days on / 2 days off, then 2 days on / 3 days off

  • Alternate between day and night shifts every two weeks

  • Every other weekend off

  • Average of 14 workdays per month

  • Overtime opportunities available

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and hardworking Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is comfortable working around machinery, and takes pride in producing quality products. Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience is preferred but not required.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. They should have a strong work ethic, good attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor production equipment safely.

  • Complete tasks while adhering to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

  • Observe equipment and processes for any issues.

  • Troubleshoot basic problems and report maintenance requirements.

  • Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and housekeeping tasks.

  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Follow all safety, quality, environmental, and 5S procedures.

  • Collaborate with the team to achieve daily goals.

  • Learn and perform various roles within production.

  • Fill in for other positions and assist in training new employees.

  • Recommend improvements for safety, quality, efficiency, and production.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift.

  • Ability to safely lift and move materials as required.

  • Ability to wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures.
