DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee subassemblies, assemblies, and production planning within our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production workflows, optimizing resources, meeting quality standards, and maintaining on-time delivery schedules. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, hands-on manufacturing experience, and a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes.
Essential Job Functions:
Production Supervisory Role:
  • Oversee subassembly and assembly operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand while optimizing labor and material usage.
  • Coordinate production planning efforts, balancing workload across workstations and departments.
  • Work closely with engineering and quality teams to resolve technical issues and ensure product specifications are met.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, efficiency, waste reduction, and cost savings.

Team Leadership & Development:
  • Lead and mentor all production-level personnel.
  • Conduct training programs to enhance employee skills and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Process Improvement & Lean Manufacturing:
  • Sustain a lean manufacturing mindset within the production areas, implement and monitor 5S policies, maintain an active role in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, recommending solutions to streamline workflows.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through waste elimination, process optimization, and automation.

Quality & Compliance:
  • Ensure all assemblies and subassemblies meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with the quality control team to resolve production defects and drive corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations, ISO standards, and company policies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with supply chain, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure material availability and minimize production delays.
  • Collaborate with engineering team to support new product introduction and design for manufacturability. Ensure that all deviations and change points are managed at the point of production.
  • Communicate production status, challenges, and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications & Skills:.
  • 5+ years of experience in a production supervisor role within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization. Perfered
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite) for production planning and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
