As a full-time Production Planner you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and adjusting production schedules to ensure materials, labor, and equipment are available to support efficient manufacturing operations and meet customer demand. This role collaborates closely with operations, procurement, logistics, engineering, and customer support teams to optimize production performance, improve on-time delivery, and support business objectives.

your challenge

  • Schedules and coordinates with plant operations to maximize efficiency, minimize waste, and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Analyze demand, inventory, capacity, and material availability to build accurate production plans.
  • Create and maintain production schedules aligned with customer demand and production capacity.
  • Review/release work orders daily to operations
  • Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and engineering to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, shortages, or changes in demand.
  • Evaluate raw materials, equipment, and labor requirements to ensure readiness for production.
  • Address production issues and setbacks, including quality concerns, bottlenecks, or labor constraints.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of schedules, inventory levels, and work‑in‑progress.
  • Recommend process improvements to reduce costs, improve productivity, and enhance product quality.
  • Communicate production status and issues to management and cross‑functional teams.
  • Update customer support team with delivery dates
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by your manager

requirements

  • 4-year degree in Supply chain management or equivalent certification (APICS)
  • 2-5+ years of production planning, scheduling, materials planning, or manufacturing operations experience.
  • Experience in a high SKU manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for evaluating data and resolving production issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.
  • Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in scheduling and inventory management.
  • Hands-on experience to demand planning software (preferred)

  • Office-based with occasional visits to plant locations. Will involve exposure to environments requiring adherence to safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Apply established protocols and make decisions in potentially high-stress situations during travel or customer interactions.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with all departments, vendors and colleagues. Specifically, upper intermediate (B2) language level in English.
  • Exposure occasionally to a manufacturing environment that may include noise, temperature variations and moving equipment.
