Job Description

Title                       : Operation/Production Support Analyst

Location               : Reston, VA

Duration              : Full Time

Salary/Rate        : $90,000/annum +Benefits+Relocation 

  • Provide Level 1 or first tier production support for Enterprise Applications. Perform technical troubleshooting, changes, and daily tasks for Enterprise Applications and Systems. Work with customers and other support teams to co-ordinate and facilitate incident triage and timely resolution of production issues.
  • Potential to work various 24x7 on-site shifts including day, night, and weekend shifts.

Required Skills

        Strong Unix skills to effectively navigate Unix/Linux environments; knowledge of Unix Shell basics to understand function of scripts

        Experience working in Operations / Production Support environment

        Strong Problem Solving skills and demonstrated ability to quickly learn on-the-job

        High level of interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills; this is a team environment and there is required interaction with customers

        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on any required shift(day/night)

Desired Skills (Experience supporting these applications a plus)

        UNIX (Solaris 10;SUSE Linux 10.x/11.x)

        Web server and Middleware (WebLogic, JBOSS, apache, tcServer)

        Windows Server administration skills a plus

Education , Experience and other requirements

        Preferred: BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

        2-3 years of related experience
