Elevator Controls Corporation is currently looking for a Production Planning Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating the production plan to satisfy the planned level of sales, while meeting the company's profit, productivity, and lead time and customer satisfaction goals. Will coordinate the production plan with sales objectives, resource availability and financial budgets, providing direct and consistent dialogue between operations, sales, and customer service.
Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with:
  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Materials Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Understand manufacturing processes and manufacturing planning and control systems.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills, including written communication.
  • Lean application/implementation experience a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
  • Prepares Job packages including work orders, schematics, layouts, picklists, etc., for scheduled jobs for day & week, and distributes to the Production Teams
  • Follows up with Production Team Leads to ensure that the Production Plan/Schedule is being adhered to, and escalates to Master Planner and Production Manager in case of issues or interruptions
  • Assists the Master Planner in decisions related to production priorities and expedites based on the overall business and customer needs.
  • Assists the Master Planner in managing and adjusting production schedules in response to fluctuations in raw material availability, manufacturing capacity, and demand for products.
  • Participates in daily Tiered Meeting so all efforts are coordinated to accomplish the same goals
  • Recommends viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality
  • Assists in the development and implementation of new or improved manufacturing and production control systems and procedures
  • Performs daily cycle counts of inventory to verify stock levels and accuracy, to make sure physical products match quantities on Warehouse Management Systems or ERPs.
  • Researches root causes of inventory variances, missing tags, or incorrect bin locations and helps implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors.
  • Adjusts and reconciles inventory logs, documents transfers, and reports data discrepancies to management and procurement.
  • Physical demands: ability to lift up to 50 lbs., standing, carrying, walking, pushing, climbing, reaching, always following all safety rules and regulations.
