SALARY RANGE: The anticipated salary range for this role is $102,000 to $159,000 annually. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment.

SUMMARY

The production manager is an integral part of our team, working with the leadership, procurement, and engineering departments to plan, prioritize, and promote productions tasks. The production manager is responsible not only for developingbuildrequirements and schedules, but for developing the individual production staff members into a high-performing team.

A successful production manager will need strong organizational and communication skills-paying attention to key details while being able to see how those details fit into the broader projects and goals. Further, they will display understanding for manufacturing processes and team behind it-building trust and motivating the best from the team. Resource management, problem solving, and project reporting are part of the daily responsibilities of the production manager. Most importantly, this person must be self-motivated and have a team mindset-able to communicate obstacles, set clear expectations, and support the people, processes, and practices to complete projects on time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.

  • Motivating, supporting, and providing guidance to production supervisors and planning department.
  • Report and manage daily output while working any constraints that prevent the team from meeting targets.
  • Setsexpectations,providesrecourses, audits performance, counsels employees, trains, andsetspolicies and practices to exceed department goals. Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
  • Working with ERP implementation team to provide key input and facilitate smooth execution and implementation
  • Ensures operations metrics are well known; tracks daily progress towards achieving objectives and mitigating risks.
  • Identifies and establishes key performance indicators (KPI's) in production
  • Manage and report regular production forecasts
  • Facilitate and execute solutions to production stoppages
  • Establish and maintain AS 9100 required documentation and procedures related to manufacturing and production.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
  • Train and mentor team members, identifying skill gaps and providing opportunities for professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, drive continuous improvement, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Stayup-to-datewith industry trends, advancements, and best practices in aerospace electronics manufacturing.
  • Approvetime cardsfor employees and maintain scheduling requirements for all staff and approve time off requests in accordance with business needs
  • Schedule and deliver performance reviews and meet regularly with employees to support their needs and provide tasking if required
  • Report regularly to manager or leadership on statuses and department developments
  • All other duties as assigned

REQURIED QUALIFICATIONS

The following are a non-exhaustive list of qualifications for the position:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience in wire harness and aerospace composites manufacturing will also be considered.
  • Proven experience in aerospace wire harness manufacturing aerospace with a strong understanding of IPC/WHMA-A-610/620 standards and AS9100 Rev D. quality standards.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, demonstrating the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to aerospace composites manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.

Vision is necessary for reading printed materials and a computer screen, while hearing and speech are essential for effective communication both in person and over the telephone. Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment. Employees may be able to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
