Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Production Machine Operator for a beverage manufacturing facility in San Bernardino, CA. This is a temp position on the 3rd shift, paying $19.00/hr. In this role, you will set up, operate, and monitor production machines on a high-volume drinks manufacturing line, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting equipment issues to keep the line running.
Pay: $19.00/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:00pm-6:30am, with flexibility required.
Location: San Bernardino, CA 92408

Work Environment: Manufacturing Plant / Factory
Overtime: As needed
Responsibilities
  • Load raw materials into machines and unload finished products at the end of the line according to production schedules.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and report defects or inconsistencies to the line supervisor.
  • Record production data and machine performance in the facility's logs.
  • Perform changeovers between product SKUs by adjusting machine settings, tooling, and line configurations per changeover documentation.
  • Monitor machine output speeds, fill weights, and torque settings during production runs and make minor adjustments to maintain spec.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized in compliance with food safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Follow daily output targets and adjust work pace to meet production goals.

Minimum Requirements
  • 1+ year of experience as a machine operator or production operator in a manufacturing or food/beverage production environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) protocols specific to food or beverage production.
  • Familiarity with line equipment such as fillers, cappers, labelers, or wrappers.
  • Experience reading and following production schedules or work orders.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for identifying and reporting equipment issues.
  • Experience with quality checks, product inspection, or basic QA documentation.

Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Must be available to work rotating shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in a production environment.
  • Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
  • Must pass a drug screen.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify).
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
