Job description

University - Product Engineer

The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to not just develop software, but to build cutting-edge AI-powered security systems that protect organizations from cyber threats? As a Product Engineer on our team, you'll implement a minimal version of Vellox Responder integrated with Tines for autonomous cyber threat defense. We're looking for someone with the technical skills and passion to build agentic AI systems that operate in production security environments.

This role is more than just coding. We need a Product Engineer who will implement autonomous security remediation workflows, integrate threat intelligence from Vellox Ranger, orchestrate response actions through Tines, and ensure AI agents are audit-ready using Layer One governance frameworks. You'll work directly with security operations teams, build policy-governed autonomous systems, and contribute to solving the critical analyst shortage facing enterprise SOCs. Join us as we develop AI agents that make organizations safer and security teams more effective.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:

  • Experience with Python programming for automation and API integration

  • Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON data processing

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals, including common threats and security operations concepts

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree by Spring 2028

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence concepts

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and security tools, including SIEM and EDR

  • Knowledge of security automation, SOAR platforms, or workflow orchestration tools

  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-53, NIST AI RMF, and SOC 2

  • Knowledge of agentic AI, autonomous systems, or machine learning

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
