Core Responsibilities
  • Coordinate engineering activities that improve process control, product quality, throughput, reliability, and manufacturing cost.
  • Design and implement equipment and production-process improvements.
  • Partner with maintenance to troubleshoot, repair, and improve control systems.
  • Lead DMAIC and other team-based problem solving for KPI-impacting issues.
  • Collect and analyze process data, trends, and performance results.
  • Develop project business cases, ROI estimates, production-time estimates, and staffing or cost recommendations.
  • Maintain work instructions, SOPs, manuals, drawings, and equipment documentation.
  • Apply 5S, SMED, CEDAC, and other lean manufacturing tools.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent related experience.
  • Five to ten years of related manufacturing or process-engineering experience.
  • Required experience with industrial control systems.
  • Polymer or plastics manufacturing experience preferred.
Important Technical Skills
  • Statistical process control, failure analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Mathematical modeling and computer-aided design.
  • Lean tools including DMAIC, 5S, SMED, and CEDAC.
  • Automation controls experience and Green Belt certification are pluses.
