Production Controller Aircraft Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Duties * You will liaison between Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair (SUPSHIP) Groton, Program Executive Offices (PEOs), Submarine Program Managers, and many other supporting naval activities. * You will provide planning and administration of new construction nuclear-powered submarines from initial contract award through construction to delivery, Post Shakedown Availability, and contract closeout. * You will initiate, coordinate, and control all phases associated with the construction, alteration, modernization and repair of all submarines or projects as assigned. * You will review ship and/or system specifications, contracts, modification requests, schedules, engineering reports, and other documents to plan government support and control actions necessary for the administration of the programs. * You will develop work specifications and purchase requests, provide budget estimates for work specifications, and initiate requests for funds. * You will be responsible for review and signature concurrence of the ships' sea trial agenda, coordinate and schedule all basic trial evolutions, and initiate corrective actions of all resulting trial deficiencies. * You will supervise on-site government vendors assigned to support the construction and test programs, enabling government technical problems to be resolved in the least amount of time while minimizing the risk of construction or delivery delay. * You will attend various conferences and meetings in order to monitor work progress. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications GS-12: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with complex, multi-process marine industrial projects within a matrixed organization; serving as a trusted expert in production planning and scheduling; resolving critical construction bottlenecks through strategic resource reallocation; and delivering formal presentations to executive leadership GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with manufacturing or maintenance of specialized multiple-process production methods, marine industrial activities, complex organizational matrices, long term construction projects, and executive presentation; Utilizing prioritization and problem-solving skills to identify construction risks and create action plans for issue resolution. Basic understanding of earned value management, production planning/scheduling, resource planning, and safe working practices in an industrial environment.
