About KLUS

We are seeking a hands-on Manager of Engineering and Product Support to lead our Engineering team and oversee all engineering support functions, including quotations, technical support, sales support, product implementation coordination, certifications, documentation, and cross-functional project execution.
This individual will work closely with Sales, Operations, and our Product Engineering team in Poland to ensure successful product launches, technical support, and continuous process improvement. This role requires a strong engineering background combined with exceptional leadership, project management, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Engineering/Quotations team.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the quotation process to improve accuracy, turnaround time, and customer experience.
  • Establish departmental KPIs and provide monthly performance reporting to senior management.
  • Coordinate activities related to new product introductions, engineering changes, and product discontinuations in partnership with the Product Engineering team in Poland.
  • Develop and maintain departmental procedures, standards, and policies to ensure efficient and consistent processes.
  • Manage product certifications and regulatory compliance, including ETL listings, Closet Rating, NSF, Turtle Friendly, and other applicable certifications. Coordinate certification updates and support certification audits.
  • Support and attend trade shows, customer visits, and technical presentations as required.
  • Coordinate technical training programs, webinars, and educational sessions for customers and internal departments.
  • Serve as the Voice of the Customer by gathering technical feedback, identifying market needs, and communicating opportunities to the Product Engineering team in Poland.
  • Monitor competitive products and industry trends, maintaining competitive product information to support sales and product positioning.
  • Coordinate product lifecycle activities including engineering change notifications, product transitions, and discontinuation planning.
  • Work closely with Sales & Marketing to develop and maintain technical documentation, product specifications, installation instructions, application guides, and competitive comparison materials.
  • Lead cross-functional projects by developing project schedules, coordinating stakeholders, tracking milestones, and ensuring successful execution.
  • Partner closely with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Customer Service, and Sales to resolve technical issues and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support RMA investigations and technical root cause analysis, coordinating corrective actions with internal and external teams.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • Minimum of five years of engineering leadership or engineering support experience within the lighting industry.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and technical teams.
  • Knowledge of product certifications and regulatory compliance preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25%.
  • Experience building high-performing teams through coaching, performance management, and employee development.
