Job description

The Product Solutions Manager, Marketing & Business Development Technology, owns the product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and lifecycle management for technology products that support the firm's Marketing and Business Development functions. This role serves as the primary product partner to Marketing/BD leadership and Enterprise Technology, ensuring CRM and related platforms are aligned to business priorities, user needs, enterprise architecture, data governance, security standards, and measurable adoption outcomes.

The Product Solutions Manager translates stakeholder goals and pain points into product opportunities, business cases, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans. The role coordinates cross-functional delivery across Enterprise Transformation Technology, Applications, Infrastructure, Information Security, Data Strategy, and external vendors, with accountability for backlog health, release readiness, stakeholder communications, product adoption, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Product Portfolio Governance

  • Partner with Business Development to develop product strategy and roadmaps for Marketing/BD technology products, including CRM, experience management, proposal automation, marketing automation, and analytics platforms.
  • Manage the technical product portfolio and demand intake process, including triage, prioritization, governance, and coordination with business stakeholders.
  • Define priorities based on business value, user impact, risk, compliance, technical feasibility, and total cost of ownership.
  • Establish product success measures, such as adoption, data quality, process efficiency, system performance, and business impact.
  • Evaluate market trends, platform capabilities, automation, and AI-enabled opportunities; recommend enhancements that align with Marketing/BD goals, firmwide technology strategy, responsible AI principles, data governance, privacy, and security requirements.

Stakeholder Discovery & Business Partnership

  • Serve as the trusted product partner and single point of contact for Marketing/BD leadership for technology needs, requests, and escalations.
  • Conduct discovery with attorneys, business services teams, and Marketing/BD stakeholders to understand goals, workflows, pain points, and user needs.
  • Capture, qualify, and prioritize demand; communicate trade-offs, decisions, status, and roadmap implications.
  • Facilitate governance discussions and decision-making for product intake, prioritization, scope, and sequencing.

Backlog, Requirements & Delivery Planning

  • Maintain a clear, prioritized product backlog, including epics, user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and release priorities.
  • Partner with Enterprise Technology teams and vendors to define scope, solution options, milestones, delivery plans, and implementation readiness.
  • Partner with Information Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to conduct security and risk assessments.
  • Work with technical teams to support implementation, delivery, adoption, and value realization of approved roadmap items.
  • Drive user adoption strategies, including change management, UAT, release planning, stakeholder engagement, training plans, communications, feedback loops, usage monitoring, and post-launch optimization.
  • Track initiative status, risks, issues, dependencies, budget considerations, and delivery metrics across the product portfolio.
  • Ensure product documentation, release notes, user guidance, and operational handoff materials remain accurate and current.

Technology, Integration & Architecture Oversight

  • Maintain a working understanding of CRM, marketing technology, analytics, integrations, data flows, APIs, middleware, security models, and platform configuration.
  • Partner with architects, developers, Data Strategy, Infrastructure, and Information Security to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, well-integrated, and supportable.
  • Evaluate new tools and enhancements in partnership with technical teams, including integration feasibility, security review, implementation complexity, scalability, and total cost of ownership.
  • Coordinate with other product and portfolio owners to maintain architectural consistency and integration integrity across enterprise systems.

Data, Reporting & Product Performance

  • Partner with Data and BI teams to define data models, reporting structures, dashboards, and analytics frameworks that support Marketing/BD initiatives.
  • Partner with business data owners and Data Strategy teams to define data stewardship practices, data quality rules, ownership expectations, and remediation processes for Marketing/BD platforms.
  • Define and monitor product health metrics, including system performance, data health, usage, adoption, backlog throughput, and customer satisfaction.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative insights to identify optimization opportunities and inform roadmap decisions.

Governance, Operations & Vendor Management

  • Manage release governance, testing protocols, change documentation, and post-release validation.
  • Manage vendor performance, manage product-related deliverables, and coordinate upgrades, renewals, patches, and roadmap dependencies.
  • Ensure products comply with firm security, privacy, records, data governance, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
