Job Description

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Product Owner to manage the team and sprint backlog, prioritize work aligned to the customer roadmap, and deliver value across complex, high-impact, and/or multiple products with minimal oversight.

What You'll Do

  • Work with internal team members to ensure customer desires and business priorities are effectively communicated and reflected in the product backlog.

  • Enable streamlined execution of product priorities by collaborating with stakeholders and team members to define user stories and owning team/sprint backlog in collaboration with delivery teams.

  • Decomposes features into stories or smaller work items to enable team execution and delivery

  • Utilize Product Manager & stakeholder input to map the product vision to user stories

  • Act as liaison between the business/customer and delivery team, and represent the expectations of all interested stakeholder segments

  • Develop & maintain business knowledge for assigned Spoke or business area

  • Define user stories and/or support team members as they write user stories

  • Mentors and coaches' other staff

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)

  • 5+ years of experience in related field

  • In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field

Bonus Points

  • Product Owner certification (Scrum Alliance or SAFe) - Highly Preferred

  • Genesys and Salesforce experience - preferred

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.

Based on annual corporate goal achievement and individual performance.
