Job description

About Mercor
Mercor's mission is to organize human intelligence to power the AI economy. We partner with leading AI labs and enterprises to provide the human intelligence essential to AI development. Our vast talent network trains frontier AI models in the same way teachers teach students: by sharing knowledge, experience, and context that can't be captured in code alone. Today, more than 30,000 experts in our network collectively earn over $3 million a day.
Mercor is creating a new category of work where expertise powers AI advancement. Achieving this requires an ambitious, fast-paced and deeply committed team. You'll work alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society. Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. We work in-person five days a week in our San Francisco, NYC, or London offices.
About the Role
As a Product Operations Manager, you'll sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering, GTM, and our customers. You'll help bring complex AI data projects to life by designing scalable annotation workflows, scoping technical solutions during the sales process, and leading customer implementations.
You'll own the operational systems that power annotation at scale - from reusable workflow templates to enterprise integrations - while serving as the voice of customers inside the Product organization. You'll also own the roadmap for customer integrations, helping expand the platform's capabilities as customer needs evolve.
This is a highly technical, customer-facing role for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous problems, working directly with strategic customers, and building systems that scale.
What You'll Do
  • Scope Customer Solutions: Partner with GTM and customers during the pre-sales process to scope complex AI data projects. Define technical requirements, design solutions, and identify opportunities for product improvements or customization.
  • Build annotation workflows: Own and expand Mercor's library of annotation interface templates, enabling teams to launch new customer workflows quickly while encoding operational best practices.
  • Lead customer implementations: Program manage enterprise implementations, including integrations with customer data systems. Coordinate across Product, Engineering, GTM, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful launches.
  • Configure the platform: Configure Mercor's annotation tooling to support each customer's workflow and deliver high-quality human data at scale.
  • Shape the product: Identify recurring customer needs and translate them into product requirements. Own the roadmap for customer integrations and partner with Engineering to expand platform capabilities.
Scopes Available
This is a general listing for all levels and product areas at Mercor. Candidates will be matched at a later stage to one of the following groups.
  • Customer Product Operations: work directly with AI researchers at leading labs and internal GTM leads to formulate and execute account growth plans and technical project delivery.
  • Engineering Product Operations: work across Mercor's platform engineering and product groups to ensure operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience: 2+ years in Product Operations, Product Management, Technical Program Management, Solutions Engineering, Implementation Consulting, or a similar technical, customer-facing role.
  • Technical Fluency: Familiar with coding agents. Comfortable using SQL without agent assistance as well.
  • Ownership: Thrive in ambiguous environments and take ownership from problem definition through execution. Customer-focused with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Systems Thinking: Strong project management and cross-functional communication skills. Passion for building repeatable systems rather than one-off solutions.

Benefits
  • Bi-annual performance bonus structure
  • Generous equity grant vested over 4 years
  • Up to $15k Relocation bonus
  • $10K housing bonus (if you live within 0.5 miles of our office)
  • $1.5K monthly stipend for meals
  • Free Equinox membership
  • $200 monthly laundry reimbursement
  • $200 monthly personal wellness reimbursement
  • Health, Dental, Vision insurance
