JOB SUMMARY:

The Product Manager - Building Analytics is responsible for defining, developing, and scaling ATS's analytics product offerings across building systems, with a strong emphasis on, but not limited to, the SkySpark platform. This role blends strategic product leadership with hands-on technical execution, requiring a forward-thinking individual who can translate business needs into actionable analytics solutions.

This individual will own the product roadmap for analytics initiatives, lead a small and growing team of engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external clients. The Product Manager will play a critical role in shaping ATS's analytics capabilities, ensuring solutions deliver measurable value in energy efficiency, operational performance, and customer outcomes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for ATS's building analytics offerings
  • Identify customer needs, market opportunities, and emerging trends in building analytics and smart buildings
  • Prioritize features and initiatives based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility
  • Design and develop analytics solutions within SkySpark, including rule creation, data modeling, and system integration
  • Contribute hands-on to analytics development (e.g., Axon programming, FDD logic, performance monitoring)
  • Lead a team of analytics engineers, driving execution and accountability
  • Translate product requirements into actionable development plans and oversee delivery from concept through deployment
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, service, and project teams to align product and operational goals
  • Engage with customers to validate solutions, gather feedback, and support pilots and product improvements
  • Track product performance, define KPIs, and continuously refine analytics offerings to drive measurable outcomes


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, controls) and building automation systems
  • Hands-on experience with SkySpark, including Axon programming, data modeling, and analytics development
  • Ability to think strategically while also executing at a detailed, technical level
  • Proven ability to define product roadmaps and manage competing priorities
  • Experience leading or mentoring technical teams in a collaborative environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with data integration, APIs, and analytics platforms beyond SkySpark is strongly preferred
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment


WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires a combination of working in an office environment and routine visits to project jobsites up to 50% of working hours. Project jobsites present typical construction and outdoor conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment for safety purposes. Lifting and exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds more frequently is required. Must be comfortable climbing a ladder infrequently.

This position is non-remote, in person, office work environment at our Renton location. Consistent typing and spending much of your time seated at a desk or computer. Small repetitive motion with mouse and keyboard are required.

This position requires a presence in the Renton office with periodic customer site visits required as part of ongoing SA management. Job sites may present typical construction hazards and outdoor conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment for safety purposes. Occasional lifting and exerting force up to 20 pounds may be required. Extensive use of computers and IT peripherals required majority of the time while in the office.


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Annual base salary ranges from $110,000-$125,000 depending on experience

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Building Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in building automation, energy management, analytics, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in product management, technical leadership, or similar role preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working with building analytics platforms (SkySpark strongly preferred)
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Prior experience leading or contributing to scalable product or platform development is preferred
