POSITION OVERVIEW

The Product Manager is responsible for the strategic development, adoption, and continuous improvement of the company’s Superyacht Asset Database platform.

The Superyacht database product acts as the central source of truth for yachts assets and listings, including documentation and lifecycle data. The Product Manager ensures the platform evolves to support operational efficiency, technical management, compliance visibility, and data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in product management, technical understanding of assets management systems, and close collaboration with the Product owner, Technology leadership, Business users and brand representatives. The position focuses on capturing user feedback, defining product improvements, prioritizing development, and ensuring the system delivers measurable value to the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and maintain the long-term vision and strategy for the Superyacht Asset Database platform.
  • Ensure the system supports the commercial and operational management.
  • Align product development with broader company digital and data strategy.
  • Create a collaborative team culture that encourages innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. 

Product Roadmap & Prioritization

  • Maintain the Asset Database product roadmap
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, operational impact, and technical feasibility, once established with the Product Owner and Technical Leaders.
  • Balance new features, future impact, and technical improvements.
  • Define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. 

Stakeholder Engagement & Feedback Management

  • Act as the primary product contact for all Asset Database product stakeholders.
  • Establish structured channels for collecting feedback from:
    • Business Users
    • User Champions
    • Data Team Members
  • Maintain an active status of feedback and responses to maintain a high level of engagement.
  • Translate operational feedback into actionable product improvements.
  • Promote adoption of the Superyacht Asset Database.
  • Support training initiatives and user documentation
  • Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to understand operational needs, where applicable.

Data Structure and Governance

  • Foster standardization and unicity of data input.
  • Ensure consistent naming conventions, tagging, and metadata standards.
  • Apply best practices for asset data accuracy and completeness.

Innovation & Business Value Creation

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce manual work, and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Propose new features and system capabilities that support commercial activities and improve technical operations.
  • Develop business cases for product enhancements and new capabilities.

Cross-System Integration

  • Ensure the Product effectively integrates with other systems, such as :
    • Websites
    • Specific usage tools using assets information.
    • Legacy platforms
  • Support the design and evolution of system interfaces and data flows

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Digital Product Development, or Systems Management.
  • Experience managing enterprise software, asset management systems, or operational platforms.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with relational databases and data models, and querying such as SQL for complex querying, data manipulation, and performance optimization
  • Good understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and modern data architecture patterns
  • Experience with product management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Solid knowledge of systems integrations such as ETL processes, APIs, JSON, and integrating multiple data sources into unified reporting platforms

Leadership & Business Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, vendor relationships, and strategic technology decisions
  • Excellent project management skills with experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
