Job description

As the Associate Product Manager, you will bring highly anticipated product lines from concept to market on time and within budget! Serving as a central hub for daily development operations, you will maintain project timelines, track cost records, and coordinate seamless communication between internal cross-functional teams and our global Asia offices. This is an incredible growth opportunity to dive hands-on into the product development cycle, learn from senior leaders, and help us shape the future of play!

What You Will Do:                  

  • Support the Product Manager across all phases of product development, from initial concept and competitive trend research through to final mass production
  • Create, maintain, and update project timelines and documentation in Smartsheet to ensure seamless communication of changes across cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate directly with Asia Product Managers and internal departments to keep concept and production phases perfectly aligned and on schedule
  • Request, log, and analyze 3D model, unit, and tooling costs from global suppliers to review against approved budgets and report variances
  • Ensure all outsourced work is properly quoted and approved while maintaining an accurate item master with current costing, factory details, and product dimensions
  • Partner with Brand Management and Design teams to coordinate the creation and delivery of development, photography, and presentation samples for key sales meetings
  • Assist in verifying that final products meet all functional specifications and strict safety requirements prior to market launch
  • Participate in meetings and presentations with senior management to gain valuable exposure to cross-functional leadership and overarching brand strategy

What We Are Looking For: 

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in product development, product design, or project management

  • Foundational exposure to or understanding of plastics, materials, and global consumer manufacturing processes

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and G-Suite, with a particularly strong aptitude for Microsoft Excel to manage data accuracy and cost logs

  • Exceptional organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple shifting priorities and strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build professional, collaborative relationships across multiple departments

  • A self-motivated, eager-to-learn mindset with the ability to take direction, apply constructive feedback, and confidently ask questions when direction is unclear

Nice To Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or industry relevant field is a plus
  • Prior experience working in the consumer goods or toy industry is a plus

The base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, so the salary range may not apply to other states. 

Our benefits package includes basic medical insurance that is 100% company-paid for employees and their children, employee basic life and AD&D insurance, a 401(K) retirement program with Jazwares matching up to 4% of pretax or post-tax deferrals, short and long-term disability, and tuition reimbursement.  

Our work environment provides a flexible work schedule that includes a Monday through Thursday on-site, with an optional WFH on Fridays, up to 20 workdays fully remote each year, and Time Off for vacation and sick leave.  Through Jazwares Cares, you will have the opportunity to volunteer for up to 16 hours a year on community service projects.
