As a Product Manager at IDeaS, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and success of our analytics software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, translate customer needs into technical requirements, and oversee the product lifecycle from ideation to delivery. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills and rich industry experience in engineering roles to be able to meet job requirements. The position demands a mix of project management, management, communication, and technical skills to lead development teams in delivery of technical projects related to data integration with external applications, backend service delivery and internal integration between services.
What you'll be doing...
  • Work closely with remote or onsite engineering teams to ensure alignment of internal or partner requirements to IDeaS' roadmap.
  • Lead calls internally and externally, articulating the status of multiple concurrent projects for both technical and non-technical stakeholders (including at clients and partners).
  • Produce detailed technical documentation explaining how services or enhancements to IDeaS' solutions should be built, updated or connected in the form of both user and product requirements.
  • Manage delivery of new or enhancements to existing services and applications responsible for functions including data integration, user or property data management.
  • Supports Software Development and Quality Assurance (SDQA) teams in detailed design discussions related to meet the defined functional and business requirements.
  • Groom roadmap, define goals and project timelines and steward work through completion for assigned projects.
  • Organize all development tickets at all levels for assigned services - taking ownership for delivery of assigned items.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert and requirements leader for development teams working on assigned projects.
  • Comprehend product challenges and support iteration on innovative solutions for achieving development objectives with greater efficiency.
  • Be comfortable with database queries, API communication and other common forms of data integration to support definition of requirements, designs, and acceptance tests.
  • Creates executive briefing documents to drive decision-making process.
  • Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples.
  • Identifies opportunities for emerging technology and business issues that present opportunities or threats to the company.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
  • Demonstrates a desire to learn and adapt continually, as a self-motivated individual who takes ownership of their work in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll bring to us...
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Software Development or quantitative field (Operations Research, Industrial Engineering) or similar.
  • 3+ years' experience in Product Management, Product Development, Consulting or related function in the software/ technology industry
  • 1+ years working with SQL with the ability to write MySQL/ SQL Server queries proficiently to support investigation of data to support decision making
  • 1+ years working with common API-based integrations and common security protocols in API-based data exchanges.
  • Strong data analysis skills - supporting the use of data, real messages or database structure to inform decisions.
  • Demonstrably strong ability to translate business requirements to technical needs and product behavior, to act as the liaison between analytics and technology-centric software development teams.
  • Ability to understand product features and underlying analytics and describe associated customer value.
  • Excellent communications skills for explaining complex processes to non-experts, clients, prospects and team members.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Full understanding of the product management skills; ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative and novel ways.
  • Skilled in effective communication, influencing and negotiation.
  • Organizational skills for managing and owning commitments, schedules, and deadlines.
