Product Integration SpecialistPosition Summary

The Product Integration Specialist is responsible for leading complex customer deployments from pilot through initial order, implementation, acceptance, and transition to ongoing support. This position serves as the primary technical and program management liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring solutions are delivered as complete, integrated systems that meet customer requirements and operational goals.

The role combines technical expertise, project leadership, customer relationship management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure successful deployment of hardware, software, communications, and connected solutions. The Product Integration Specialist works closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Software Development, Operations, and Technical Support to drive implementation success and enhance the overall customer experience.

This role will focus on connected products and Fusion platform deployments, including the integration of field devices, communications infrastructure, software applications, and customer operational systems. The desired outcome is system seamlessness, customer satisfaction, and recognizing action items and/or use cases to better support the customer.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Deployment & Program Management
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination for technically complex customer implementations.
  • Lead customer implementation projects from order receipt through successful deployment and operational handoff.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risk assessments, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Coordinate activities across customers and internal departments to ensure timely execution of deployment objectives.
  • Manage implementation risks and proactively drive issue resolution to maintain customer confidence and project schedules.
  • Facilitate deployment readiness reviews, status meetings, and customer communications.
Technical Integration & Customer Engagement
  • Work directly with customer engineering, operations, measurement, IT, SCADA, and technical teams to understand business and operational requirements.
  • Support integration of Dresser solutions with customer systems including:
    • SCADA platforms
    • Measurement systems
    • Billing systems
    • GIS applications
    • Telemetry and communications networks
    • Operational technology (OT) environments
  • Ensure technical requirements, interfaces, acceptance criteria, and responsibilities are clearly documented and understood.
  • Act as the technical bridge between customers and internal subject matter experts.
Implementation Ownership & Success
  • Maintain ownership of overall deployment success regardless of which internal teams are assigned specific technical tasks.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Product Management, Software Development, Technical Support, and Operations to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor implementation progress and escalation issues when appropriate.
  • Define and validate deployment acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure customer solutions achieve stable operation before transitioning to routine support processes.
Field Support & Technical Leadership
  • Provide onsite technical leadership during pilot programs, commissioning activities, installations, and large-scale deployments.
  • Support customer-facing Technical Support and Sales teams during critical implementation activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues involving hardware, software, communications, and integrated systems.
  • Assist in root-cause analysis and corrective action planning for deployment challenges.
  • Travel to customer sites as required to support project success and critical issue resolution.
Product Improvement & Customer Feedback
  • Collect and communicate customer feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams.
  • Identify recurring implementation challenges, product gaps, workflow inefficiencies, and integration requirements.
  • Help distinguish customer-specific requests from broader market opportunities.
  • Participate in product development discussions by providing field-based insights and implementation experience.
  • Recommend improvements that enhance customer adoption and deployment efficiency.
Process Development & Continuous Improvement
  • Develop repeatable deployment methodologies and implementation best practices.
  • Create and maintain:
    • Deployment documentation
    • Readiness review processes
    • Acceptance criteria
    • Implementation playbooks
    • Lessons learned documentation
  • Improve deployment consistency, scalability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support organizational efforts to standardize implementation processes across multiple customers and projects.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Technology, Business, Project Management, or related field preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education, industry experience, and technical expertise will be considered.
  • Experience within the natural gas utility, gas measurement, metering, instrumentation, energy, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Gas measurement systems
    • Electronic Volume Correctors (EVCs)
    • Instrumentation and controls
    • Telemetry and field communications
    • Utility operational practices
  • Experience managing customer-facing technical projects or complex deployments.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
