Product Growth professionals work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement strategies that increase user acquisition, activation, and retention. They often partner with product managers to develop and test new features, collaborate with marketing to optimize campaigns and messaging, and work with engineering to ensure seamless user experiences and data tracking. Regular communication, data sharing, and joint planning sessions are common, enabling rapid experimentation and quick pivots based on real-time insights. This collaborative approach helps align goals and fosters a culture of continuous improvement across teams.

To thrive as a Product Growth Manager, you need strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of user acquisition and retention strategies, and experience in product management or marketing, often supported by a relevant degree. Familiarity with A/B testing tools, analytics platforms like Google Analytics or Mixpanel, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems is typically required. Outstanding collaboration, communication, and creative problem-solving skills help drive cross-functional initiatives and adapt to rapidly changing market demands. These competencies are crucial for identifying growth opportunities, optimizing product performance, and achieving sustainable business expansion.

Job description

About Glean:
Glean is the Work AI platform that helps everyone work smarter with AI. What began as the industry's most advanced enterprise search has evolved into a full-scale Work AI ecosystem, powering intelligent Search, an AI Assistant, and scalable AI agents on one secure, open platform. With over 100 enterprise SaaS connectors, flexible LLM choice, and robust APIs, Glean gives organizations the infrastructure to govern, scale, and customize AI across their entire business - without vendor lock-in or costly implementation cycles.
At its core, Glean is redefining how enterprises find, use, and act on knowledge. Its Enterprise Graph and Personal Knowledge Graph map the relationships between people, content, and activity, delivering deeply personalized, context-aware responses for every employee. This foundation powers Glean's agentic capabilities - AI agents that automate real work across teams by accessing the industry's broadest range of data: enterprise and world, structured and unstructured, historical and real-time. The result: measurable business impact through faster onboarding, hours of productivity gained each week, and smarter, safer decisions at every level.
Recognized by Fast Company as one of the World's Most Innovative Companies (Top 10, 2025), by CNBC's Disruptor 50, Bloomberg's AI Startups to Watch (2026), Forbes AI 50, and Gartner's Tech Innovators in Agentic AI, Glean continues to accelerate its global impact. With customers across 50+ industries and 1,000+ employees in more than 25 countries, we're helping the world's largest organizations make every employee AI-fluent, and turning the superintelligent enterprise from concept into reality.
If you're excited to shape how the world works, you'll help build systems used daily across Microsoft Teams, Zoom, ServiceNow, Zendesk, GitHub, and many more - deeply embedded where people get things done. You'll ship agentic capabilities on an open, extensible stack, with the craft and care required for enterprise trust, as we bring Work AI to every employee, in every company.
About the Role:
Glean is seeking a highly strategic and execution-oriented Product Manager to help define and build our Growth product area. This role sits at the intersection of product-led growth (PLG), platform-level activation, off-surface engagement, and broader product growth strategy.
You will own how Glean turns first-touch curiosity into durable, expanding usage - designing the loops, surfaces, and experiences that drive activation, retention, and organic expansion across users and teams. Glean's company strategy emphasizes becoming the trusted enterprise context and intelligence layer that every employee reaches for daily; getting there depends on a world-class growth motion that brings users in, gets them to value fast, and keeps them coming back across every surface they work in.
You will work closely with the Product lead and cross-functional partners across engineering, design, data, marketing, and go-to-market teams to identify the highest-leverage growth bets, bring structure to an ambiguous opportunity space, and translate growth concepts into concrete, measurable product experiences. We're currently a very lean product team, so you'll have an outsized role in shaping both the product roadmap and the product team itself.
This role is ideal for someone with 5+ years of experience, a deep understanding of PLG and growth mechanics, a passion for AI, and the ability to demonstrate granular product implementation skills such as designing specific user interfaces, onboarding flows, and experiments rather than staying at a high conceptual level.
You will:
  • Help define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for Growth, translating broad company vision into specific bets across activation, retention, and expansion, informed by funnel data, experimentation, and customer behavior.
  • Own the PLG motion end to end - from acquisition and onboarding through activation, habit formation, and self-serve expansion - and design the loops that turn individual adopters into team- and org-wide usage.
  • Build platform-level growth capabilities such as referrals, invitations, notifications, in-product education, and lifecycle messaging that compound across surfaces rather than living in a single feature.
  • Drive off-surface growth by meeting users where they already work - the browser extension, email, Slack and Teams, mobile, and other entry points - so Glean stays present and valuable outside of a single destination app.
  • Partner deeply with engineering, design, and data teams to turn ambiguous concepts into well-scoped products and experiments, with clear user flows, interaction patterns, instrumentation, quality standards, and measurable outcomes.
  • Build a rigorous experimentation and measurement culture, defining the activation and retention metrics that matter, instrumenting the funnel, and running A/B tests to learn fast and ship what moves the numbers.
  • Drive customer-focused prioritization and efficient execution, balancing long-term platform opportunities with urgent user pain points, strategic customer asks, and company priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with go-to-market, marketing, solutions, and support teams to learn from real customer problems and ensure our growth strategy reflects how users actually adopt and spread Glean.
  • Bring a high bar for product craft by not only identifying the right opportunities, but also specifying how they should work in practice, including concrete onboarding flows, UI behavior, and adoption paths.

About you:
  • You have 5+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of owning and shipping growth, activation, or PLG product areas in B2B SaaS, consumer, AI, or platform products.
  • You are deeply fluent in growth mechanics - funnels, activation, retention, virality, and lifecycle - and you let data and experimentation guide your decisions, with the analytical fluency to define metrics, instrument funnels, and interpret results alongside engineering and data teams.
  • You have strong product sense and granular product thinking, comfortable moving between strategy and detailed execution and specifying how a user should experience onboarding and adoption.
  • You have a deep interest in AI and enterprise software, and you thrive in ambiguous spaces, creating clarity, momentum, and alignment even when the product area is still emerging.
  • You are an excellent communicator, take ownership and initiative, collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, and bring a learning and growth mindset.
  • You are mission-first, measure your success by your product and team's success, and are an early adopter of AI for your own craft who's excited to help customers accelerate their AI adoption journey.

Location:
  • This role is hybrid (4 days a week in our San Francisco office)

Compensation & Benefits:
The standard base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $280,000 annually. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package including competitive compensation, Medical, Vision, and Dental coverage, generous time-off policy, and the opportunity to contribute to your 401k plan to support your long-term goals. When you join, you'll receive a home office improvement stipend, as well as an annual education and wellness stipends to support your growth and wellbeing. We foster a vibrant company culture through regular events, and provide healthy lunches daily to keep you fueled and focused.
We are a diverse bunch of people and we want to continue to attract and retain a diverse range of people into our organization. We're committed to an inclusive and diverse company. AI-First Mindset at Glean:
At Glean, AI fluency is core to how we work and we're committed to ensuring every new hire feels confident integrating AI into their everyday work. As part of the interview process, you'll complete a brief AI-focused exercise or discussion so we can understand how you think about, design, and use AI to drive impact in your role. Feel free to reference any tools, platforms, or workflows you use today - prior Glean experience isn't required.
