Summary
ย The Managed Care Stop Loss Reinsurance Sales position is responsible for developing and growing relationships with brokers, health plans, managed care organizations, provider-sponsored health plans, and other risk-bearing entities. This role focuses on marketing and selling reinsurance and provider excess of loss solutions that help clients manage catastrophic medical claims risk, improve financial stability, and optimize capital management strategies.

Location: This is a remote position. You will work an 8-hour shift scheduled during our normal business hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM. It may be necessary, given the business need to work occasional overtime.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversees functions of a line of business, which may include underwriting and sales. Establishes critical metrics and objectives to ensure high performance and corporate compliance. Develops customs and marketing strategies, and builds relationships with brokerage networks, sales, line of business management, and underwriting.

  • Develops sound financial goals and objectives for the line of business and monitors progress toward stated goals and objectives. Ensures competitiveness and growth of the company by working with external agents and staying abreast of market conditions relevant to the line of business. Assists in building and maintaining reinsurance relationships.

  • Establishes strong relationships with brokers/agents to achieve the highest level of integrity. Maintains standards of quality and broker/agent satisfaction.

To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need the Following:

  • Required Work Experience: 10 years-related management experience in a comparable line of business or equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above.

  • Required Education: Bachelor's

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational and leadership skills. Superior analytical skills. Excellent decision making/problem solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge and expertise in developing, monitoring and overseeing budgetary responsibilities to ensure expenditures are cost-effective and justified within budget. Strategic thinking skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to create and foster a culture of teamwork, excellence and continuous improvement. Thorough knowledge of the insurance field with in-depth knowledge of the specific line of business responsible for.

  • Required Software and Other Tools: Standard office equipment.
