Job Summary:
Buck Mason is a company that designs updated, modern American classics for daily wear. The Product Development Associate role supports the Product Development Team in managing and tracking the development of seasonal products, ensuring that all developments meet calendar requirements and deadlines while collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide support to Sr. Product Developers through the development cycle
โ€ข Work closely with cross functional teams to track fabric and product development progress while maintaining calendar milestones.
โ€ข Ensure all developments meet calendar requirements. Work cross functionally to solve deadline conflicts.
โ€ข Work directly with domestic and import vendors on development, sample tracking and maintaining deadlines.
โ€ข Communicate daily regarding sample timing, and product management; address and manage exceptions.
โ€ข Attend weekly WIP meetings to keep the team on track for approvals and sample status.
โ€ข Learn aesthetic and technical direction of product to guide decisions.
โ€ข Responsible for launching and tracking new developments from design to vendors.
โ€ข Assist with and maintain Tracker reports for supported categories.
โ€ข Manage and update Tech Packs & BOMs with Tech and Design teams.
โ€ข Gather, review & negotiate costing.
โ€ข Attend all fittings and take notes.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 2-6 years applicable experience
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills to interact with internal teams & outside vendors.
โ€ข Must have experience in working with apparel import vendors.
โ€ข Knowledge of fabric, trim sourcing, and product development required.
โ€ข Must have strong attention to detail.
โ€ข Highly motivated, organized, Collaborative.
โ€ข Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Gmail, Google meet, Google calendar, Apparel Magic.
โ€ข Knowledge of apparel garment development required.
Preferred:
โ€ข MULTILINGUAL speaker is a plus.
โ€ข Experience in woven or sweaters categories preferred.
