Role Overview

Reporting to the Vice President of Product Development & Technical Design, the Product Development Assistant will support the Product Development team across both Denim and Ready-to-Wear (RTW) categories. This role is responsible for assisting with product development processes, sample management, data accuracy, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the shipment of packages and development materials to vendors.
  • Support the product development process by preparing, organizing, and distributing development packages.
  • Monitor, track, and receive development samples from Prototype through Salesman Sample (SMS) stages, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate data entry and documentation within Microsoft Excel and WFX PLM.
  • Track incoming samples and ensure accurate distribution to the appropriate teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, Production, and Sourcing teams to support development timelines.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Product Development department.
  • Maintain organized records and assist in managing workflows across multiple product categories, styles, and development calendars.
  • Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Product Development, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong follow-through on assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience with NetSuite WFX PLM and Figma is a plus.
  • Must be available to work onsite; this position is not eligible for remote work.
  • Availability to work a minimum of four days per week.
