We specialize in designing and producing garments for global markets, blending creativity with cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices. We're looking for a talented Textile Designer to join our creative team and contribute to the visual identity of our collections through innovative textile and surface designs.


Position Summary

The Textile Designer will be responsible for creating original prints, patterns, and fabric textures that align with seasonal trends, brand aesthetics, and product functionality. This role requires a keen eye for color, materials, and techniques, with a strong understanding of how textile design integrates into the overall fashion design and production process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design original textile patterns (print, weave, knit, embroidery) for seasonal apparel collections across multiple product categories.
  • Develop trend-forward surface designs that meet creative briefs and align with brand positioning.
  • Create seamless repeat patterns and artwork ready for production (screen printing, digital printing, jacquard, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with fashion designers, product developers, and the sourcing team to ensure fabric selections meet design intent, cost, and technical requirements.
  • Research and forecast seasonal trends in color, fabric, and print, creating inspiration and concept boards.
  • Manage colorways, pattern scale, and fabric mockups across collections and categories.
  • Maintain organized design files, tech packs, and libraries (digital and physical).
  • Work with vendors and mills to develop custom fabrics and ensure quality and color standards.
  • Participate in fittings, sample reviews, and production meetings as needed.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in textile/surface design within the fashion or apparel industry.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a wide range of textile designs and creative versatility.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and textile CAD programs (NedGraphics, Kaledo, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of fabric construction, printing techniques, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent sense of color, scale, and composition.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing for both womenswear and menswear.
  • Knowledge of sustainable textile design and eco-friendly materials.
  • Familiarity with PLM software and working with overseas vendors.
